About Monster High:

Monster High has taken the US and now the UK by storm and the characters that are based on some of the scariest creatures from film and TV are now being given a new lease of life.

The creator of Monster High is Garrett Sander with all of the illustrations done by Kellee Riley and the slogan of the characters is “Freaky just got Fabulous, Be Yourself, Be Unique, Be a Monster!”.

The dolls are a type of fashion doll, with a twist as all of them are the sons and daughters of some of the most well known scary characters such as Dracula, the Mummy, the Zombies, Dr Frankenstien and Medusa.

The dolls were released back in 2010 and since then their popularity has gone from strength to strength thanks to the website and books that carry on the stories of these dolls and what they get up to. Fans could access the website from 5th May 2010 and on there are downloads of episodes of Monster High, games, character biographies and more.

There is new content added to the site on a regular basis so there is always something for the fans to talk about and new webisodes are eagerly awaited by the fans who love the series so much and want to stay up to date.

The Monster High dolls are 11 inches high and have hair, various styles of makeup and their arms and legs are detachable so that it is easier to change their clothes. The dolls have various outfits and many of these can be interchanged with the female dolls.

The characters that are in doll form include – Draculaura who is Dracula’s daughter, Cleo de Nile who is the Mummy’s daughter, Frankie Stein who is the daughter of Dr Frankenstein and Deuce Gorgon who is the son of the Creature from the Black Lagoon. There are new characters being introduced at regular intervals and these include Abby Bominable who is the daughter of the Yeti and Operetta who is the daughter of the Phantom of the Opera.

There are also several Monster High books that are on the market and these revolve around the lives of the first set of characters. In addition to these there is a Monster High game that is available for the Wii and the DS as well as an iPhone and iPad app called Ghoul Box which is all about Monster High.
